Dyslexia Statistics  – 2018-2019

The General Assembly passed SEA 217 which addresses dyslexia and adds a number of new requirements for schools. One of these requirements is that schools must post their first report regarding their statistics from 2018-2019 on their website by July 15, 2019. However, the requirements for screening and interventions do not begin until during the 2019-2020 school year. Therefore, most, if not all schools, did not have a program or identify students for the characteristics of dyslexia during the 2018-2019 school year
