A meeting was held with all Cass County Schools and several surrounding schools to review the latest information from the Governor’s Office and the Indiana Department of Education. After careful consideration, Lewis Cass Schools will be closed beginning Monday, March 16th thru Sunday, April 5th to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Lewis Cass will conduct eLearning from Monday, March 16th through Friday, March 20th. Lewis Cass will then be on Spring break from March 23rd through April 3rd. All Extra Curricular Activities are cancelled starting Monday, March 16th thru Sunday April 5th, this includes all sports, robotics, winter winds and any field trips. If your student forgot to take something home today we are allowing students to pick up devices, clothes or sporting equipment on Monday, March 16th from 8:00am-10:00am at both buildings. Any student that does not have the internet will have the ability to pick up paper packets to complete eLearning assignments. We will communicate the dates and time this will occur.
Lewis Cass will continue to communicate with our families to provide more information regarding this plan and other information as it is established by the state. We would like to reassure our parents/guardians and all stakeholders that we have been and will continue to take the necessary precautions to disinfect and proactively work within our schools to ensure our students, staff, and visitors are in an environment that is clean and safe. Thank you for understanding and continued prayers for our schools.
Thank you for supporting Lewis Cass Schools
